Yesterday 28 June 2017, the Swiss Innovation Gala was celebrated to create a chance to network among participants, Coach and the host of Swiss Innovation Vietnam – EMBA MCI Program. FINANCING START-UP AND INNOVATION

Sharing knowledge of financial management session from Dr. Duong Nhu Hung – Lecturer from School of Industrial Management – HCMUT is taken place as details below:

This session will answer your question on how to finance for the project and which number should be let the Jury know. The small Q&A part after that will be reserve for the specific concern of participant teams.

2ND PITCH FOCUS

The helpful day of 2nd pitch training focus again what teams should notice on presentation session and report.

Time: 8th May 2017

Avenue: Room 409 A4 Building, HCMC University of Technology

Speaker: Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong – Director of EMBA-MCI programs

Focus: Evaluation criteria for the 2nd pitching and How to win a ticket to 3rd phase.

With many questions that what to present within five minutes while there are bunches of details, an advice from Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong – Director of EMBA-MCI programs is to focus on your objective in this round: let’s the Jury know that you have been deep down your innovative idea as far as possible. That means the ideas has been transforming into feasible business plans.

Besides, don’t forget that a report of 25 A4 pages (including appendix) should be submitted by 19 May 2017.

With ones who’d like to compete for the Special Prize Internationalization need to send an additional paper until 22 May 2017.

1ST PITCHING 26-28 MARCH 2017, AMAZING MOMENTS

Congratulations to 200 esteem participants has finished the first pitching of Swiss Innovation Challenge 2017.
The 1st Pitch took place on 3 days 26th, 27th and 28th March in Bach Khoa University, HCMC with the presentations of 60 teams out of 72 confirmation and reports. The 3-minutes performances and ideas from various fields such as education, technology, agriculture, commerce, tourism, management, ect., has brought the Jury from amazing to surprising. Your keen to go through to the end of this challenge are highly appreciated and will be awarded. Hope to be accompanied with you all in your career development.
The result of 1st Pitch will be released soon this week. Wait for us!
Be prepared for 2nd round, the event is lined-up 2nd and 3rd June 2017. Before that, remember to join our seminar about finance and 2nd pitch-training which are scheduled one after another in April and May 2017.

With the teams who has stopped, wish you joyful, sharpen your ideas and prepare for next year.

2ND TRAINING SESSION

2nd session within the training series of Swiss Innovation Challenge Asia 2017 will be focused on marketing, aimed to equip the participants Modern marketing techniques (online / via social media) and how to benefit from these techniques as a start up company (in a Vietnamese context). In details:

  • Speaker: Dr. Vu The Dung – Vice Rector of Bach Khoa University, 20 year experience in Marketing Consulting and market research

COACHING SESSION – 1ST PHASE

Do you already for coaching session – 1st phase?

Please see the steps to begin as below:

  1. Search of a coach from the list; consultation by local project team on request in case of difficulties in choosing a coach
  2. Get listed for the choosen coach and inform to Organizer by 15.00pm, 16 Feb 2017 via email
  3. Agree on date and time for the first coaching session: Organizer provides detailed information, candidates directly contact to Coach and arrange the coaching session.

Note: Each team is entitled to get one coching hour in Phase 1, two hours in Phase 2 and three hours in Phase 3; switching to another coach is possible at the beginning of each phase

1ST PHASE PITCH TRAINING – 05-MAR – 2017

Following the Innovation Management training session within the framework of Swiss Innovation Challenge Asia 2017, the pitch training session will be taken place as below:

  • Speaker: Ms. Đỗ Tú Quân – Top 16 world wide Swiss Innovation 2015, Founder of  Yen Quan Vietnamese Bird‘s Nest Company
  • Content:
    • Criteria for 1st phase
    • How to present the basic innovation idea
    • Basic communication / presentation skills

All participation teams are recommended to join this session to sharpen your skills and to be well-prepared for your 3 minute presentation.


TRAINING “INNOVATION MANAGEMENT” – 24 FEBRUARY 2017

To support participants of Swiss Innovation Vietnam to manage the innovation and turn ideas into reality, the training session with topic “Innovation Management” took place on 24 February in Bach Khoa Univeristy.

The speaker, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Founder of INCOM Vietnam, has provided process and tools to manage the ideas and do the business plan. He also shared his experiences in doing business in Vietnam.

More than 150 teams have joined this session, who showed their motivation and passion with the competition. Many interesting questions were raised, some of them challenged the speaker too much.

The next online training will take place on 28 February. The detailed instruction will be sent to representative of team by email.

THE KICK-OFF OF SWISS INNOVATION CHALLENGE VIETNAM 2017

The kick-off of Swiss Innovation Challenge Vietnam 2017 took place in Bach Khoa University on 13 January 2017 with nearly 300 attendants from 180 participation teams. The event aimed to give the instruction guide and explain all queries about the programme. It’s honored to welcome the representatives of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, Bach Khoa University, the Embassy of Switzerland, EMBA-MCI program and Board of Organizers Swiss Innovation 2017. This is the first time within 3 years Swiss Innovation Challenge received a great response from many people in Vietnam.

Especially, the event included the speech of Mr. Lam Minh Chanh – founder of LMC Investment and Trading Stock Company, President of Group “Management and Start-up. He shared the experience of start-up and gave inspiration to the attendants. Besides, Ms. Do Tu Quan – top 16 Swiss Innovation 2016 has joined and shared her experience with Swiss Innovation. These are the most expected speech because most of teams are really excited to hear from former contestant.

Representatives of Organizers have given instructions about the 9 month competition ahead. Many excellent questions have been raised in the event by the participants. The most important information was announced that all 176 ideas have approved the preliminary state. The training and coaching sessions will start after Tet Holidays.

WEBINAR TRAINING – BUSINESS PLAN

Following the kick-off event, the Board of Organizers will hold training and coaching sessions to the contestant of the Swiss Innovation Challenge Vietnam 2017

We are proud to announce our first only webinar which is launched on 28 February 2017, 5 PM. The webinar will introduce to the participant bout the 7 key elements of a good business idea, checklist to evaluate business ideas and how to use and work with getLaunched.io platform.

More webinars will follow in March, April, and May. All the participants will be informed accordingly.
